When all the sentinels are gone, who then will show us what will come?

This painting honours the world's vultures, who have been annihilated by human activity in the last 30 years. In India, more than 99% of vultures have been accidentally poisoned after feeding on dead cattle injected with the anti-inflammatory Diclofenac. In various African nations, vultures continue to be deliberately poisoned by poachers, as they act as sentinels, giving away the position of dead elephants, rhinos and other poachable animals.
